  • Games Teacher: Part time (Kingsley)

    We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Teacher of Games to join our thriving school. 

    The role on offer is part-time: 24 hours per week (0.6 of timetable) with 21 core hours (1.00–5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 1.00-4.00pm Friday) and 3 hours deployed as directed by the Head of PE and Sport (dependent on training and fixture timetables across the week and Saturdays).

  • Head of Keyboard (Warwick School)

    Warwick School is looking to appoint a Head of Keyboard to work 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) from September 2022.

    The role will involve promoting piano and organ playing across Warwick Junior and Senior Schools and overseeing teaching, ensembles and performance opportunities and maintaining the high standard of piano and organ playing across both schools.

  • Mathematics Teacher (Warwick School)

    A talented and inspirational teacher is required to teach Mathematics from September 2022.   Approximately 0.5 of a timetable is required. 

    The Mathematics department currently comprises of ten full-time and three part-time teachers. The department has been housed in modern centrally located, purpose-built facilities, comprising a suite of ten Mathematics classrooms, equipped with new whiteboards. Each teacher has a write-on device. 

    The Edexcel IGCE course is taught at Warwick School, with seven classes set by ability in each of the two Key Stage 4 year groups. 72% of boys achieved 7 to 9 grades with 50% at grade 8 or 9 level in our last 'normal' year. Approximately one third of the year group are given the opportunity to study Additional Mathematics. 

    At A level, we teach the OCR course and both Mathematics and Further Mathematics are very successful. On average, a third of single mathematics pupils achieve A-level Mathematics A* grade. Some 25 pupils take Further Mathematics in each year of the Sixth Form with many students achieving A*s in both. Annually our mathematicians win places at Oxbridge to study Mathematics, Economics and Engineering, with some studying for the STEP Mathematics examinations. 

    Recruiting and fostering new teachers to the profession is a central part of the ethos of the department and as the Midlands Hub for the National Mathematics and Physics SclTT, the team work closely with professional bodies and enjoy developing the next generation of teachers.

  • NMAPS - Train as a Maths Teacher

    Warwick Independent Schools Foundation are seeking to recruit good graduates, including those looking to change career, to train as secondary school mathematics teachers.

    This year long, entirely school based training, leading to the award of QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a PGCE, will take place on the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation Campus with placements available at both local state and independent schools. Our schools have a long and successful record of inspiring students to study mathematics, facilitating the achievement of high academic results and filling students with a love of numbers. The scheme will be led by subject experts at the schools. The Kingsley School, Leamington Spa, and Avon Valley School, Rugby, are also available as placement schools.

    Warwick Independant Schools Foundation is leading the Warwick Regional Hub of the National Mathematics and Physics School Centred Initial Teacher Training Scheme (NMAPS).
